Fluval carbon refills are to be used in this filter as a chemical filter media, and are designed to effectively eliminate odours, discolouration and impurities from your aquarium water, leaving it sparkling and crystal clear. Fluval carbon does not raise phosphate levels and is safe to use in Freshwater or Saltwater aquariums. These filters are suitable for Fluval SPEC, EVO and FLEX Aquariums.
